I normally don’t sign up to win homes because the number of people that sign up is ridiculously huge. But this time around I will, not because of the home but because of the charity that it is benefiting.

Rebuilding Together is a nonprofit organization that my business partner and I were involved with for a few years and we saw first hand how they helped people with housing repair problems. Their projects are not at the scale of Habitat for Humanity but some of the repairs they have done for people who could not afford it were quite extensive.

Rebuild has chapters in every state and county and the one we helped was the Montgomery County chapter in Maryland. It was a joyful experience to help an organization that could alleviate some of the basic challenges that distressed home owners were experiencing.

I don’t think I’m going to win this home because my luck is not that great. Even if I do, I don’t think I’m gonna pick up and move to LA. However, if with my contributions towards this giveaway I can help Rebuilding Together make sure another home owner in distress can have a better living accommodation, I’m all in.
